Kiwi Education’s gift to Southampton: Kiwi unveils new central Southampton walking map on behalf of the new City Ambassador Programme!

The City Ambassador Programme is a brand-new Apprenticeship showcasing Southampton’s Culture, Heritage & Diversity. Keen to celebrate all things Southampton Kiwi has even partnered with Southampton City Council to create this year’s walking map of the city centre.

Southampton has been welcoming people from across the globe for almost 2,000 years. Our city has always been an important gateway to the United Kingdom, with millions of visitors traveling through our city every year. Therefore, Southampton can often be overlooked as visitors stop briefly moving from one place to the next. As a city we need to demonstrate our worth and acknowledge our own attractions and make Southampton the place to be. To begin to tackle this problem Kiwi has launched a new city ambassador map showcasing some of the city’s key highlights & attractions. This new design is currently being delivered to the Southampton’s Hoteliers Association whose new City Ambassadors will use this map to offer guidance and offer a new Southampton welcome for 2023.

Supported by Southampton City Council, Go Southampton & Visit Southampton the brand-new City Ambassador course looks to combine a Customer Service based Apprenticeship with the knowledge & experience of Southampton’s top visitor attractions. At Kiwi we believe that the people working in Southampton’s visitor economy can play a crucial part in the city reaching its full potential. Our city is rich in history, culture & innovation, its time we shouted about it!
