Who is this course suitable for?
This Apprenticeship framework is aimed at individuals working in business and administration, in a management and/or supervisory role, and aims to provide a workforce with the skills, knowledge and competencies to support business systems, processes and services and who can contribute to making businesses more efficient and productive.
This framework is suitable for those responsible for tasks including overseeing operational activities, implementing change within organisations, managing teams, monitoring risk and agreeing budgets.
What is required to join this course?
This qualification is designed for learners aged 16 and above. This qualification is a competency based qualification and chosen units need to be linked to their job role. There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they’ve already achieved a Level 3 qualification. Learners should also have literacy and numeracy skills.
Aims and objectives of this qualification
This qualification aims to:
- Provide learners with the skills they need to operate as a successful senior business administrator
- Confirm competence of those already fulfilling a business administration role
- Allow learners to develop skills in a range of areas relevant to business administration roles, such as communication, presentation skills and providing administrative support
The objectives of this qualification are to help learners to:
- Develop the skills and qualities valued in employees by employers
- Understand and work on their strengths and weaknesses as a business administrator
How will this course be taught?
This is a work based qualification. Learners will be visited in their workplace by a Trainer, who will assess them using observation, discussion, product evidence, assignments and witness statements. Assessors will require access to carry out observation of the learner in the workplace demonstrating their skills, attributes and competencies. This will be necessary and will be used to assess your competence in your job.
